Forgiveness is a selfish commitment.
To forgive or not to forgive?
That is the question.
It is my observation that forgiving unleashes the soul from the pain of blame and revenge. It simply releases us from the crap that others try to put on us.
Forgiveness is one of the most powerful words in the world.
The biggest problem with forgiveness is its lack of use and miss-understanding. People are so wrapped up in themselves and life is so fast paced that we become trapped in resentment, blame, indifference, jealousies, perfectionism, self-pity and confusion. Then we become angry, frustrated, hurt, sad and disappointed.
All these blocks and emotion destroy our ability to cope with life, our ability to maintain our feelings of love, happiness, compassion, patience, gratitude and wisdom.
Our confidence, patience and courage are diminished to a point that life becomes a barrage of negativity.
Happiness and peace of mind seem to be just beyond our reach.
